How to turn off Microsoft Narator
Submitted by vharris on Mon, 06/21/2010 - 18:35The Microsoft Narator is one of those programs that seem to turn on all by itself; and once it does, it seems impossible to turn off. I have had to research this several times in order to turn off this annoying feature.
Here is how it's done.
Try this: go to Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center -> Explore all Settings -> Use the computer without a display. Uncheck the checkbox by Turn on Narrator and click Save.
I hope this helps some.
Good Luck,

How to add static IP addresses to DSL Router
Submitted by vharris on Tue, 06/15/2010 - 22:53This document is meant to explain how to setup the 5 static IP addresses that are assigned by AT&T for business customers that purchase a block of IP Addresses. Here is a link to an XPS file that also contains pictures. http://www.avscomputer.com/staticip.xps
It took several calls to AT&T customer service to find someone that could help me set the static address into the Motorola router. This is what we got that worked.
Step 1. Login the router using the assigned IP Address of the router, which is 192.168.1.254 by default. Check to make sure you are in the expert mode.
Outlook 2007 - Granting Others Access to your Calendar
Submitted by vharris on Wed, 04/28/2010 - 09:54I have run into this nagging problem serveral times over the years and each time it has cost me several minutes of wasted time and energy chasing a problem that I should remember the answer; but for some reason can't. No need to recreate the wheel here so I will just list the site that I used the last time I had to search for the remedy to this problem.

Vtech Dect 6 Phone System
Submitted by vharris on Thu, 02/25/2010 - 11:24Usually, when it comes to new technology; I am not easily impressed. Vtech, " I'M IMPRESSED"!
I have finally found a wireless phone system that does everthing that I would want in a cordless phone system. This is an unsolicited product endorsement for the Vtech DS6322-4 Cordless Phone system. This phone would be good if it only gave a good signal to most of my house, but I have yet to find any dead spots using this phone.
